Let’s Draw Buddy The Elf Hello everyone thought I would do up some a fun drawing exercise for you all to try, this one is Buddy for Elf, who doesn’t love that move, son a of nutcracker. Your task if you are keen to take it on is to print out this exercise pdf and draw Buddy via gridding. So, what you do is fill in each square one by one until you have a completed drawing. Gridding is a fun and easy way to get perspective correct giving you more of a realistic drawing at the end. Hopefully you find it fun. I will do up some others soon like Home Alone, The Grinch etc to suit all levels of technique and skill. Linda xoxoxo Disclaimer obviously I dont own the rights to this reference photo I downloaded it off of Pinterest to use a reference, this activity is free to use for a fun exercise over Xmas. Hope you enjoy
Hello everyone, just did a quick colouring in page for all your little ones to do over the next week enjoy L xoxoxo
I just put together a Brushes 101 guide for the beginners or hobbyist painter out there, I have had a few people ask me what brushes are best to use and how do you clean your tools. As I point out in this pdf there is no hard and fast ruling on brushes and brush care, everyone has their own preference etc but I have found what I have listed to be true and helpful so hopefully it helps you all too. Linda :-)
Did a quick live acrylic paint today on Facebook of Fred the Budgie. Thought I would share on here for you to check it out. Hello everyone, how is everyone coping with lockdown and online learning, I can tell you its been an adjustment my end my studio space has been taken over with spelling books toys and the occasional meltdown with they dont understand what the teachers are asking them to do. My time has been taken up more than I hoped but I will do my best to get all the things I want to do done, it may just take me a bit longer than I hoped though. So today Im starting off with this watercolour lesson I did up a while ago for some of my students. You will find at the bottom of this post a free pdf on how to draw the kookaburra, you can then either colour him in or paint him all depends on what you want or have at home. Obviously this one was done in watercolours and was a very loose piece very wet brush paper and water downed paint. I will be adding more things to do as the day goes on so stay posted for inspiration xoxoxo L
Hi everyone, here is a fun project for all of you to try, how about creating your very own mandala. I have done some quick research for free to use info online for you all and have found a great template to work from and also some ideas for fillers. Of course there are plenty of free to use fillers you can use too many for me to share, they are very easy to find online via google etc. All you need to do is print out the circle base and then using a fineline pen draw in your fillers this project suits young and old and is a great way to wind down and fill in some time. Great therapy for all. There is a free pdf below for you to print out if you wish. Mandala are not my usual thing so I loved what I was able to find for you all on Google and Pinterest, hope this helps you cure some boredom.
Heres one for the Batman fans, you will need watercolours fineline pen pencil and eraser paint brush and paper preferably watercolour paper. Follow the drawing step by step and then use very wet brush loaded with watercolour paint and let the colours bleed down the page as you paint. There is a free printable pdf of how to draw at the bottom of this post.

You start the drawing in pencil follow the step by steps once you have finished all steps then go over the final drawing in fineline pens and erase out the pencil then use markers to give details or you could colour her in with pencils or even watercolour paint the finished drawing totally up to you.
