Hi everyone, here we are again for another art project, this one is design to get you out your backdoor and into your garden and is suitable for all ages. You will need to go and collect leaves big ones if you have them, mine are from my mulberry bush out the front. We are going to create a Autumn Botanical Garden with the leaves.
All you will need is paper, watercolours, pencil, leaves and a black texta, all very basic materials to achieve this cute little Botanical Folk Garden. Once you have collected your leaves you will place them down on the paper and trace around them the leaf will make a tree in the end, maybe add a mountain in the background if you want totally your artistic choice. Once you have placed the leaves then just paint the design with watercolours then wait till it dries. Once dry grab your black texta and draw the inside trunk and branches of the tree and presto a Autumn Botanical Garden made with leaves. Just a reminder would love to see some of your pieces :-) hope you have fun with this one. Hello everyone hope you are all well and happy, today is another kids watercolour palate project, we are doing four seasons on one page. You will need kids watercolour palate masking tape and paper.
First you secure the paper onto a board etc, then mask off the page into four sections, the masking tape keeps the paper from getting marked by the paints and supplies a frame around each season. Then lightly draw out your tree then you are ready to paint. It is totally up to you how you wish to paint the trees, I went with Spring Summer Autumn and lastly Winter, I also added a swing to the tree that is totally optional, you could do animal silhouettes or maybe wildflowers etc. This one can be done by anyone from beginners to advanced and the level you take the painting is totally up to you. Thanks for following and would love to see some of your pieces. Linda xoxoxox Hello everyone, hope this finds you well, tonight I did a quick piece of a owl with the moon behind it in watercolours. This one is more advanced technique wise so maybe not for the younger ones or beginners.
You start with drawing the outline of the moon and owl on the page this can be very rough and then move onto wetting the page and painting, this is a very quick moving piece and there is no real no wrong in it, it is meant to be messy. I would suggest start with the moon then move onto the owl last, I did the back ground but you can leave it if you like it a bit crisper. Be as messy as you want I went heavy with colour but you can go lighter washier if you want. Once you happy let it dry and then just tidy up around the owls eyes and we are done. Have fun, this piece is just to let loose and play :-) Be safe be kind Linda xoxoxox Hello everyone, just a quick one today, lots of online learning for my girls today so they need help navigating through programs etc.
Today is a nice and easy one with kids watercolour palate and black pen. You draw the flowers etc you want to appear on the page in pencil, splash it with colour I choose yellow and a golden brown, wait for it to dry then go over the pencil with a black pen and presto a bright and breezy piece to make you happy :-) Hope you have fun with this one L xoxoxox
